How to use a video Synthesizer & AV mixer with Sweatmother
Sunday 8th December, 1pm - 5pm, Bread and Butter Lounge, London
Visual artist Sweatmother will lead a practical workshop on how to use a video Synthesizer & AV mixer, as well as combining both digital and analog components in live time-based editing.
The workshop will include discussions on themes that stem from Sweatmother’s practice: embodying the forgotten practice of archiving in relation to trans and queer people, how the “archive” can be reworked into performance, live visuals, & expanded cinema through the use of machines.
At the end of the workshop each attendant will have been able to use the Synthesizer and AV gear individually to create a 1 minute visual (equipment pictured on slide 3).
Book your spot by sending us an email info@otherpeoplesfilms.com. Tickets are £80 per person.
This event is a fundraiser. All workshop proceeds will be donated towards relief efforts in Lebanon. Specifically to civil defence stations in Baalbek and Tyre: public emergency medical services that carry out patient transportation, search and rescue activities.
Access note: the space can only be accessed via a staircase. If you have any further access questions, feel free to reach out.
